Samosa/Spring rolls Recipe





Samosa/Spring Rolls Recipe Author: My Kitchen PreparationTime: 20 Minutes Cooking time: 15 Minutes Servings: 3 Caloriesper serving: 150 Ingredients:
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons of oil
  • 2 Irish potatoes
  • 1 teaspoon of coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon samosa spice
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon curry Rajar
  • one handful green beans
  • 1 large carrot
  • 500g minced meat
  • any spice of your choice
  • 1 egg
  • salt to taste that's for the pastry

  • Instructions:
    Put the flour in a mixing bowl  add salt and water then mix til smooth.
    Wrap the bowl with a plastic wrap then put in a fridge while preparing the fillings.

  • Peel your Irish potatoes,wash then cut into cubes.
  • Wash your green beans and carrots then cut
  • Put your large frying pan on the stove then put oil,when the oil is hot,put your mince meat(don't make meat balls)
  • Fry your mince til brown,then add your onion,green pepper,curry rajah,black pepper, coriander powder,green beans,garlic and carrots.
  • When your mince meat is cooked remove the pan from the stove.
  • Cook your potatoes til tender 
  • Get you dough devide in small balls
  • then on a floured working surface you can start rolling the dough and place a mound of filling in one corner of a spring roll, wrapper, leaving a 1 cm boarder, don't overfill your triangle or they could split when cooking. 
  • Fold the pastry corner diagnonally to creat a triangle then continue to fold
  • Retaining the triangle shape, continue with the remaining dough and fillings
  • Samosa using beaten eggs
  • Adding cooking oil in depth of 2 cm depth of 2 cm deep in a frying pan
  • Quickly cook samosa in batches until golden brown on both sides make sure the cooking oil is not very hot because the samosa will get burnt on the outside.
  • The temperature should be medium
  • when ready transfer to a paper towel lined plate.
  • then serve with your favourite fruit
