Cow Feet Stew - Beef Trotters

Cow feet stew is know by many names including beef trotters, trotters, cow feet, cow trotters and  cow hooves. If you have a name you call them, different from the ones I have mentioned then let me know in the comments 👇

My mom used to cook beef trotters and she would cook beans then mix the two, the taste of this combination was honestly out of this would, I would definitely love to beef trotters mixed with beans.😊 My mom is in her mid 40s so she is still very strong and I doubt she would refuse if I was to ask her to cook cow hooves mixed with beans. 🤗🤗

Trotters are very common in African, I have heard they are common in Asia and the Caribbean too. I am all about multi-cuisine so I would love to know how it's prepared in other parts of the world.

In Africa we eat cow trotters with pap, pap is known by different names in many parts of the continent because it's not an English word. By anyway you can also serve beef trotters with rice.

For those who have never cooked beef trotters before, this is the perfect recipe for you, perhaps it's even different from the way you prepare your trotters. 😋

I honestly do not know why it took me this long to share this recipe with everyone of you. I might not eat beef feet every week but I absolutely love this recipe, and I honestly need to start sharing these types of recipe more often.

Cow Feet Stew - Beef Trotters

Cow feet stew requires a lot of time to cook and it's slow cooked, I guess this is why I don't usually cook cow feet.

The great thing about cow feet is that they require only a few ingredients.

  7. Interesting. I've not heard of using cow feet before. I love oxtails so cow feet are probably similar.
