Chapati is a popular  cuisine in Indian, it's popularly known as roti or Indian flat bread. Most Indians use wheat flour for a roti recipe.the cuisine has become very popular in most of the countries especially in eastern Africa where the recipe is popularly refered to as Chapati recipe.i haven't heard any African referring to the recipe as Indian flat bread recipe, the majority of us(Africans)call it Chapati.
I was introduced to this recipe by a Tanzanian who had a shop near our house, actually it was my brother who learnt how to make Chapati then he taught me,I don't really like making chapatis (not that I don't like them)on the contrary they are simple and delicious, the thing is that the first thing that comes to my mind when I see flour is bread, dinner rolls, meat pies or cookies.lol. but thanks Goodness for my family who remind me about some recipes that I can make.

  11. Whilst I do cook a lot of Indian dishes at home, I never tried making my own chapati. I even have a chapati pan which I bought from India. Maybe it's time to put it to good use.
