How to make cinnamon rolls

My cinnamon roll recipe is simple.

These rolls are made from the following ingredients

• Flour - I used all-purpose flour, but bread flour may be used in place of all-purpose flour. I'm pretty sure the results will be the same .

• Yeast - There are two types of yeast. The first one is active dry yeast. This yeast must be proofed before it's added to the ingredients.

The second type is instant yeast. This yeast can be added to the ingredients without any proofing.

• Water - Only use lukewarm water.

• Egg - I only used one egg.

• Milk - Make sure you use lukewarm milk.

• Vegetable Oil - I avoided using too much butter so I decided to add a bit of vegetable oil.

• Butter - I used salted butter to make these rolls, however unsalted butter also works well.

• Cinnamon - Just one tablespoon of cinnamon was enough to give these cinnamon rolls their cinnamon flavor.

Brown Sugar - I used brown sugar but you can also use white sugar or granulated sugar.

Salt - Salt is a must in rolls. If you don't add salt your rolls will taste very plain.

This is a classic cinnamon roll recipe. The rolls are soft and fluffy. These cinnamon rolls are irresistible, your search for the perfect cinnamon roll recipe has come to an end because this is the winner. They are surprisingly easy to make and they are better than any store bought roll. Fluffy cinnamon rolls recipe made from scratch.

Ingredients
  • 2 and half cups of flour
  • 1 satchet of yeast
  • Half a cup sugar
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 cup lukewarm water
  • 1 egg
  • Half a cup of lukewarm milk
  • 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
Instructions

1. In a bowl, mix the sachet of yeast, sugar, salt and cinnamon. Pour in the vegetable oil. Beat the egg separately and pour it into the mixture. Pour in the water and milk then whisk.

2. Add your flour slowly and start to knead with your hands until it is soft and not sticky.Knead your dough, put it in a mixing bowl or any other bowl that's big enough to accommodate it as it rises. Cover with a warm towel and leave for at least an hour to rise.

3. Brush your baking pan with oil. Turn on your oven to 180° and then roll out your dough into desirable shapes of your choice. (I use the size of my fist for all rolls before I shape them). Put your shaped rolls on a tray and cover it with a towel, let them rise for another 15-20 minutes.

 4. Bake for 30-40 minutes. Do not wait until they are golden brown on top because that makes them hard at times.

5. Take the cinnamon rolls out of the oven and brush the top with butter.

6. Serve as you like them.

Note: If you wish to have them plain, without the cinnamon, leave it out. They taste just as great. If you like cheese, you can sprinkle grated cheese over them 10 minutes before you take them out of the oven so that it melts over nicely for cheese rolls.
