Flour: All-purpose flourDo not use cake flour for this particular cake recipe otherwise you'll not have the same results.

Milk:

Castor Sugar: I love using castor sugar in my cake recipes because it gives the cake a lighter texture and it has the ability to dissolve fast.

Cocoa Powder: I used Nestles cocoa powder 

Baking powder & Baking Soda: Use both baking powder and baking soda for lift.

Oil: Do not use butter in the cake.Cocoa powder makes the cake dry, so you need to use oil for the moisture.

Coffee: Use warm coffee to help break the cocoa powder lumps.

Eggs: Use 2 room temperature eggs.

Vanilla Essence: Vanilla essence adds flavor to the cake.

Salt: Just a pinch of salt will do.

Instructions:

1. In a bowl of a stand mixer,Combine flour, cocoa powder, baking powder,baking soda, castor sugar and salt. Mix on low speed for 30 seconds.

2. Add eggs, milk, oil and vanilla essence in a separate bowl, whisk well until combined.

3. Combine the dry and wet ingredients. Add a cup of warm coffee and whisk to incorporate well. The batter will be thin and runny.

4. Line your pan with baking paper and add your batter. Bake at 180° for 35 minutes or until the toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

5. Let the cake cool and decorate as desired.

Note: if you don't have wax paper simply apply margarine and flour to your pan so that the cake don't stick to your pan.

Whipped cream: Store Bought chocolate powdered whipped cream (125g) and strawberry whipped cream.

Milk: 130mls milk

Food coloring: Red and green food color

1. Beat strawberry flavoured whipped cream and milk using a handheld mixer for 3 minutes.

2. Add red food color and mix. Now you have orange Frosting.

Note:When you combine red and pink you'll get orange hence the orange color.

Green Frosting

1. Beat strawberry flavoured whipped cream and milk using a handheld mixer for 3 minutes.

Ingredients 

•125g Chocolate powdered whipping cream

•130mls Milk

Instructions

Beat the whipping cream and milk with a hand held mixer for 3 minutes.

Cream Ingredients

1 cup heavy whipping cream

½ cup castor sugar


1. Place the mixing bowl and whisk attachment in a freezer for 5 minutes to cool.

2. Pour the heavy cream into the chilled bowl and use a hand mixer to beat the heavy cream on medium-high speed.

3. Slowly add castor sugar and continue to beat on high speed until stiff peaks color

1. Decorate the entire cake when completely cooled.

The cake and the frosting can both be made ahead of time.

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ¾ cup cocoa powder
  • 2 cups castor sugar

  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla essence
  • Pinch of salt
  • 250g strawberry flavored powdered whipping cream

How to make chicken chapati roll

Instructions:

1. In a large mixing bowl, add 2 cups all-purpose flour and salt. Use a wooden spoon to stir. Add 2 teaspoons olive oil and ¾ cup of warm water. Stir using the wooden spoon til the dough is soft.

2. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface until soft. Divide the dough into 10 equal parts. 

3. Roll each piece into a ball. Let rest for a few minutes.


4. Heat a pan over medium heat, lightly grease. Using a rolling pin roll out the dough balls on a floured surface. 

5. Put chapati on a pan once the pan gets hot. One chapati at a time.

6. Cook for 30 seconds then flip and cook the other side. 

7. Continue with the remaining dough balls.

Prepare The Base

1. Crush the biscuits into crumbs using a blender or a food processor. 

2. Melt butter in a microwave or put the butter in a saucepan and melt on the stove.

3. Put crushed biscuits crumbs in a mixing bowl and pour over the melted butter.

4. Use a spoon to mix melted butter and biscuits crumbs.

5. Put the mixture into the base of a springform pan and place the Pan in the fridge while you prepare the filling.

No-Bake Lemon Cheesecake

No Bake Lemon Cheesecake is a simple dessert made with only a few ingredients. It's easy to make and comes together in just a few minutes without having to turn on the oven.

Ingredients

  • 1 Packet Nuttikrust biscuits
  • 200g Unsalted butter
  • 1 Packet Jell-O Lemon Gelatin
  • 2 Cups heavy cream
  • ¼ Cup powdered icing sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon lemon zest
  • 2 Teaspoons vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Crush the biscuits into crumbs using a blender or a food processor.
  2. Melt butter in a microwave or put the butter in a saucepan and melt on the stove.
  3. Put crushed biscuits crumbs in a mixing bowl and pour over the melted butter.
  4. Use a spoon to mix melted butter and biscuits crumbs.
  5. Put the mixture into the base of a springform pan and place the Pan in the fridge while you prepare the filling.
  6. Using a hand mixer beat the cream Cheese on medium speed until smooth.
  7. Pour Lemon jell-O gelatin into a cup of hot water and stir well. Set aside to cool.
  8. Add lemon zest, heavy cream, powdered icing sugar and vanilla extract beat until smooth.
  9. Pour the filling over the base and place in the fridge over night. If you are in a hurry to eat your cake then it can be in the refrigerator for a minimum of 6 hours.

INGREDIENTS AND VARIATIONS

1. Marinate one packet of beef fillet in a mixture of ¼ cup of balsamic vinegar, a tablespoon of cooking oil,Rosemary and lemon seasoning, crushed garlic,salt and black pepper for 20 minutes.
2. Cut 2 medium carrots,1 red pepper,1 green pepper and 1 yellow pepper in strips. 
3. Place the steaks on a chopping board and thinly slice them.

How to cook rice
I'm going to cover 3 methods of how you can cook rice so that everyone we'll pick their preferred method.

How to cook Rice on the stove
1. Place 6 cups of water in a saucepan,add 1 tablespoon of salt. When the water is warm add 3 cups of rice. Bring to boil on medium high heat without a lid. Reduce heat to low and cover the sauce pan with a lid. Cook rice for 13 minutes.

How to cook rice in the oven
1.Place  boiling water and rice in a Casserole dish. Cover with a lid and bake at 180° for 40 minutes.

How to cook rice in the microwave
1. Place 6 cups of boiling  water and 3 cups of rice in  a microwave proof container.
2. Microwave the rice for 13 minutes.

How to clean Rice
To clean rice simply fill a bowl with water and swish rice around then pour the water off. Or you can put the rice in a colander then wash using tap water.

Mushroom Sauce Recipe
This easy, creamy mushroom sauce is perfect for many dishes.i made it specifically as a sauce for the rice.
The mushroom is ready in just 20 minutes and it has amazing flavor

INGREDIENTS AND VARIATIONS
Mushroom: I went for button mushrooms.but you can use any mushroom you like.
Vegetables: Onion,garlic cloves,fresh sweet corn kernels,spring Onion.
Seasoning: Cream Cheese, beef stock cube, Salt, black pepper.
Oil: Vegetable oil
Flour: All-Purpose flour.

How to make Mushroom Sauce
1. Cut the mushrooms into slices and put on a plate.
2. Using a chopping board cut  onion and garlic.
3. Heat cooking oil on a pan and add garlic,onion and mushrooms. Fry until onions are soft. Add flour and stir ensuring that it doesn't create lumps.
4. Put beef stock cube in a bit of water and mix then add it to the pan.
5. Let the mixture boil until it begins to thicken.
6. Add cream cheese and sweet corn,salt and black pepper to season. Lastly add spring onion. Let it simmer for 2 minutes.

SUBSTITUTION
How to thicken Mushroom Sauce
If you are not comfortable with the idea of thickening Mushroom Sauce using flour then use water and cornstarch. 
Using a small bowl mix 2 tablespoons of water and cornstarch then add it to the Sauce as it cooks. This will thicken the Mushroom Sauce.

TIP:
Allowing the sauce to simmer for a few minutes on the stove while stirring occasionally will allow the sauce to reduce down hence thickening.
